August 2019 Monthly Wrap-Up
Your monthly dose of finance, along with the latest How To Money articles and podcast episodes!

Welcome to our August wrap-up, and what a month it’s been! This month I’ve included heaps of fantastic resources from around the web, to kick-start your month.Â
This month we published an article discussing whether investing is just a game of luck. There are many similarities with playing monopoly and this game we call life. There are winners, there are losers and there are those who just manage to get by. Some people make their wealth through chance, others through strategy and skill and many just get there through making sound decisions over a long period of time.
However, there are proven paths that you can follow and rules that make the entire game that little bit more straightforward. The great thing is that with the availability of information nowadays, you can work out the rules of the game for yourself, and build wealth through investing.
We also published two brand new episodes on the How To Money Podcast, debunking myths about ETFs and the way our emotions can impact our relationship with money. Check these episodes out on Apple Podcasts and Spotify.Â
On the Australian Finance Podcast, Owen and I chatted about our investing mistakes, Afterpay and answered a handful of great listener questions (which you can send our way at any time)! Available on Apple Podcasts, Castbox, Youtube and Spotify.
