Making Investing Simple, Money Decsions & Designing The Life You Want to Live
Catch up with the latest content from How To Money, designed to empower you on your own financial education journey.
Dear How To Money Reader,
Welcome to a brand new month (and financial year), which is a great opportunity to work towards your financial goals!
I was chatting to a guest on the How To Money podcast recently, about the reasons why people overcomplicate their finances. It’s funny really, often the people that understand their financial situation the best, have the most uncomplicated financial setup. Heck, some of the best investors I know have a really simple money strategy.
Whether they’re investing in ETFs, shares, managed funds or property, they keep it simple.
I think it’s really important that new investors know that you don’t have to put together a really complex strategy to build wealth over time. Rather, you’re allowed to keep things simple. And simple has been proven to work.

This month, I had some interesting conversations on the How To Money podcast, about building a diversified portfolio (with the founder of a robo-advice platform) and getting those big money decisions right with financial adviser and money expert, Vince Scully.
The truth is that success with money is not the result of thousands of small decisions made well - it’s a function of half a dozen decisions made with intention and consideration: where you live, what you drive, how you prepare for the unexpected, how you prepare for retirement, how you make a living and who you marry.
