September Monthly Wrap
Your monthly dose of finance, along with the latest How To Money articles and podcast episodes!

Welcome to the How to Money wrap for September. I’m writing this on the plane home from New Zealand, where I, unfortunately, spent a weeks holiday ducking undercover to avoid the unrelenting rain. C’est la vie! Because of this I spent quite a bit of time reading, and made my way through Nicole Haddow’s new book, Smashed Avocado. As someone who doesn’t know a whole lot about our Australian property market and the process behind purchasing a house, this book was an engaging and informative overview, and I’d definitely recommend it. Nicole also shares many interesting stories about young Aussies cracking the property market on her website.
My friend and co-host Owen (Rask Finance) is holding investor events and workshops in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane in November, which I would highly recommend. There’s a great line up of investors presenting their favourite investment ideas, processes and strategies. To find out more and book your tickets head to the event page!
We also published two brand new episodes on the How To Money Podcast, discussing the rise of neobanks in Australia and the reverse budget method (Wildcard style). Check these episodes out on Apple Podcasts and Spotify.
On the Australian Finance Podcast, Owen and I chatted about reading financial news, side hustles and answered a handful of great listener questions (which you can send our way at any time)! Available on Apple Podcasts, Castbox, Youtube and Spotify.
